Kleppinger Design Group focuses on design and supply of cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, mudrooms, offices & more. We work with a careful selection of manufacturers to offer the best product we can, at a number of different price points.

Design and cabinetry are our primary businesses. We offer installation on a case-by-case basis.

KDG can address your storage and design needs for just about any space in your house. Aside from the kitchens we have in our showroom, we also show vanities, a mud room, garden room, laundry room, wet and dry bars, closets, pantries, and desks. In fact, all of our workstations are cabinets provided by Crystal.

You are welcome to stop in during our regular hours, but we recommend making an appointment. This will ensure someone will be available to spend time with you to answer questions during your visit.

Design

The best place to start is in our showroom. This is where your designer can show you around, explain the differences between the cabinetry manufacturers, and let you see firsthand what is available.
Your designer will also schedule a time to come to your house to take measurements and get a feel for the space. Drawings will be produced from this meeting and a price range will be established.
While everyone is different, you’ll probably meet with your designer a few more times to fine-tune the design, budget, or both. Once your selections are made, the design is finalized and signed off on, and we have a deposit, we will place the order.

While every job is different, the design process can take anywhere from two weeks to a few months or more, depending on the scope of the project.
Typically a design for a standard-size kitchen takes about a month between meetings at our showroom and visits to the job site.
After the design is complete, the cabinets are built to order from our vendors. Lead times for cabinets are currently ranging from 4 weeks to 15 weeks*.
Installation times can vary depending on the size of the project, smaller kitchens could be installed in a week, and larger projects could take a month or more.

Throughout the design process, we will provide detailed drawings, including perspective views of your kitchen.
While the drawings will not be 100% true to life, we aim to give you a realistic idea of what you can expect.
We can also supply you with door samples and color chips from your selections.

We source our cabinetry from a number of different manufacturers.
Crystal Cabinetry is produced in Princeton, Missouri.
Koch Cabinetry is produced in Kansas and Tennessee.
Shiloh Cabinetry is produced in Dudley, Missouri.
Dutch Made Cabinetry is produced in Grabill, Indiana.
Mantra Cabinetry is manufactured in Jackson, GA, Carlisle, PA, and Riverside, CA

The best place to see all of these products is one of our showrooms, either our 7000 square foot showroom in Fairfax, VA, or our 1000 square foot showroom in St. Michaels, MD.
We show our cabinetry lines in a wide variety of woods and finishes. Each location also keeps up to date samples on hand to view countless combinations of door style and finish options.
Unfortunately we cannot carry every sample of door style and finish. If there is a specific finish and door style you want to see, make sure to contact us to make sure we have it. If we don't, we can likely get a sample for you in a few weeks.
Cost

Every project varies, depending on the room size, the scope of work, etc. Each little choice impacts the price.
The best way to get a realistic price is to share floor plans with your designer (if you have them readily available,) or have us come measure the space and provide a drawing. This way we can get you a realistic price, and avoid any ballpark guesses.
Shipping/Delivery

Lead times will vary based on cabinet manufacturer and finish selection and can change weekly.

We work with our logistics partner in Baltimore, MD when delivering cabinets.
Our service team will handle the entire process, from scheduling to checking off the cabinets on site as they are being delivered. We keep you updated throughout the process.

We strongly recommend you keep your new cabinets inside, in a temperature stable environment, ideally near the space they will be installed in.
KDG cannot be held responsible for damages that occur do to improper storage.

We offer up to 14 days of storage at our logistics partners facility before we have to charge for storage fees.
If you cannot receive the cabinets within 14 days of delivery to our logistics partner, please let your designer know as soon as possible to avoid storage fees.
Contractors

Most of our work is with builders, contractors, architects, and interior designers, but we also work directly with homeowners.
If you already have a contractor, we will work with them, and if you need someone to do the work, we can recommend someone to contact whom we have worked with in the past.

Yes, we provide detailed plans with layouts and elevations of each project and detailed notes. If your contractor has a question, we are here to help.
